When Alex asked me to photograph his proposal last year I was so excited, to have the opportunity to document the entire engagement process is such a blessing and always so much fun! There’s just something about being present in moments that are so full of joy that makes you feel so close to the couple and their friends and family. I still remember when everyone ran out of the gardens after Alex proposed and I wanted to run up and hug them too!
We expected it to rain the majority of Lindsey and Alex’s wedding day, but little did we know it would just rain while the girls got ready. The home that they rented on Cottage Lane was perfect and so full of light! Even with the rain coming down outside it looked gorgeous inside. There was an amazing corridor on the roof that was exactly what we needed for portraits, seriously this house couldn’t have been better equipped for a rainy day portraits!
After the ceremony and once Lindsey was in Alex’s arms I could tell all of the nerves of the day had melted away, she was home. They love each other so much and it’s finally official, they’re husband and wife. It didn’t rain for the rest of the day and the clouds ended up providing us with gorgeous light, who wouldn’t have thought a worry for the day would have turned into such a blessing?
Lindsey and Alex thank you for inviting us to be a part of your day, we loved being a part of it all! Enjoy a few of my favorites!!!
