Two or so years ago when I was photographing the behind-the-scenes action for one of Southern Weddings editorial shoots at Serenbe I was introduced to Gabi. She brought one of her favorite wedding gowns and right then I knew I had to learn more about her shop. She specializes in designer and vintage gown and when you walk into her space you feel such a sense of calm and whimsy. Every little area has been perfectly curated with little trinkets from the past. Wedding portraits hang on the walls and when you step into the showroom you’re tempted with some of the prettiest gowns. I had the urge to touch every single one, while I know that’s probably not the best idea, I couldn’t help myself! The textures and fine details aren’t like anything I’ve experience before while dress shopping. These are the types of gowns that will be cared for after the wedding day, tucked away somewhere safe and saved for the next generation.
